Covid Spring Booster Campaign for Sutton

The following patients will be eligible for a Covid spring booster this year:

  • Adults aged 75 yrs and over (incl those turning 75 by 30.6.24)
  • Residents in care homes for older adults
  • Individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed

Visits to older adult care homes and eligible housebound patients is due to begin from 15th April 2024.  For all other cohorts, vaccinations should start by 22 April and end on 30 June 2024.

The NHS plans to invite and vaccinate eligible patients by 30th June via a combination of local and national invitations. There should be access to the national booking service by Tuesday 9th April.

Please note your practice will support the NHS by promoting this service and encouraging eligible patients to be vaccinated, however, the practice will not be involved in the delivery of the vaccinations so please do not ring them to query this.

Housebound patients who are coded as such in their medical record will be given an appointment by the SWL Roving Team.  Please do not ring the practice to query or change this appointment, however, should you need to you can contact the SWL Roving Team by email [email protected] or by telephone to 07771 921786.  Please note this team will be providing vaccinations to the whole of Sutton so it will take time to make appointments for all patients.

Care home patients are likely to be vaccinated by the SWL Roving Team and/or some local pharmacies
